"Translation and interpreting professions are noble professions"

On September 30 2022, at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the Faculty of Philology, the Department of Foreign Philology and Translation Studies and Tranlsation Club Tazhiman hosted an educational event: "Translation and interpreting professions are noble professions" dedicated to the translator's day. The event was organized for the 1st year students of Translation Studied major.

The event started with the presentation about the history, the achievements, the goals and the objectives of the organization. During the presentation the audience asked. Then the organizers held the game among the audience.

The second part of the event was devoted to the discussion of the translation of the literary works by T. Wilder, F. Kafka, A. Marshall, A. Ryunoske within the framework of the state program “Cultural Heritage. 

   Aynagul Sadykova, the Member of the Writers' Union of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the writer, the translator and the literary scholar, the master of humanities, attended this event. She emphasized that the success of a transport’s work depends on diligence along with talent and experience. She wished the 1st year students who were present at the event success in their studies and future work.

   The given event was a good encouragement for the 1st year students majoring in Translation Studies due to which they can strive for the best and not stop at what has already been achieved.

   The event was ended by the speech by associate prof. Musaly L. in which she noted that a translating and interpreting professions are the most necessary and useful since they provide the bridge of mutual understanding between representatives of different cultures.
