Hosted a presentation of the book "Kazakhstan-China: Three Decades of Good-Neighborliness and Mutually Beneficial Cooperation"
On October 19, 2022, the library of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University hosted a presentation of the book "Kazakhstan-China: Three Decades of Good-Neighborliness and Mutually Beneficial Cooperation", prepared by the team of authors of Kazakh and Chinese diplomats and scientists in three languages (Kazakh, Chinese and Russian).
Centuries-old historical ties between peoples, modern comprehensive relations are associated with the productive development of relations between the two countries.In this regard, Kazakh and Chinese experts have prepared a special anniversary publication dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and China and the results of the state visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Kazakhstan in September 2022.
This work provides an expert review of bilateral relations from 1992 to 2022. Unique reference data, important official documents and historical photographs are collected on the basis of archival materials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Library of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The book is dedicated to diplomats, specialists and students in the field of international relations and Oriental studies, as well as readers interested in Kazakh-Chinese relations.
The presentation of the book was attended by Board member-Vice-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Uvalieva A., Deputy Head of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty Raimov I., Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Kazakhstan to China Nuryshov Sh. (via online communication), Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Kazakhstan Zhang Xiao (via online communication), Director General of CNPC in Kazakhstan Li Yonghong, domestic diplomats and leading Chinese scientists, teachers, students.
Diplomats, as well as leading Chinese scholars of the University N.Aldabek, N. Mukamethanuly shared their impressions of the book.
At the end of the presentation, the collection of books was presented to the university library, the representative office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan in Almaty and the Consulate General of China in Almaty. Guests of the presentation were also able to download an electronic version of the book using a QR code.
