On October 28, in the Faculty of Medicine and Healthcare, a poster competition “My language and my culture” was held among foreign students studying in the specialty of General Medicine, Dentistry and Pharmacy. Students from India, Turkey, Asia, Africa and the Middle East study at the faculty. The event was dedicated to cultural traditions, the language of the countries from which the students arrived, in the context of their interaction with the culture of Kazakhstan. The competition was organized by teachers of the Department of Foreign Languages: Bershina N.V., Tektibayeva D.D., Koitasova G.A., Baitleuova L.A. The opening was attended by the head of the Department of Basic Medicine Sarsenova L.K.
A special YouTube channel was created, where those who wished could see poster presentations and vote for the most interesting one. After summing up the voting results, the winners and participants were awarded certificates and valuable prizes - books in English about Kazakhstan and Almaty.
