Meeting with Consul General of the Republic of Korea Park Necheo

On November 2, 2022, the Department of the Far East, with the support of the Education Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, organized a meeting of Consul General Park Necheon with students of the Department of the Far East of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and students at Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages of Abylaykhana.

The main topic of the meeting was "Korea. Culture, history, and education", second year students of the specialty opened the event "6B02207- Oriental Studies" Bolat Albina and Omarova Shyryn. The students talked about their impressions of Korea and shared the reason for admission to the Korean department, Kazakh University of International Relations and World Languages students shared their impressions of volunteer work. After the speech of our students, Consul General Park Necheon delivered a lecture, in his speech the consul touched upon the issues of unification of Korea, the disarmament of North Korea and the disputed issues of Dokdo Island. Kim Tae-hwan, Director of the Education Center at the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, made a closing speech, who told the students about the current study programs in Korea, about the requirements and rules for admission to Korean universities.
