Our President Kassym-Jomart Kemeluly Tokayev reconfirmed October 25 as Republic Day this year. This day has a great place in the history of the independence of our country. On October 25, 1990, by the decision of the Supreme Council of the Kazakh SSR, the declaration «On State Sovereignty of the Kazakh SSR» was adopted. On the basis of this declaration, on December 16, 1991, the Constitutional Law on «State Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan» was adopted.
On the occasion of the national holiday, on October 20, 2022, the Republic Day was celebrated with the equestrian competition of the 4th year students of the Department of Meteorology and Hydrology of the Department of Geography and Environmental Sciences of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Teachers and students of our department took part in the event. Within the framework of the event, the students refreshed the minds of our viewers, distinguished the path to independence of the country and shared a lot of information. During the event, students presented their art, played our national instrument dombra, and sang patriotic songs with the choir. The audience and teachers of the department were satisfied with the festive event and expressed their warm wishes to the organizers. Graduate students showed their patriotic feelings and tried to convey that youth generation is the future of New Kazakhstan.
