Research internship at RMIT University

Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor of the Management department Sansyzbayeva Khalima, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Acting Associate Professor of the Management department Ashirbekova Laura, and PhD, Associate Professor, Vice-Dean on Research-Innovation Affairs and International Cooperation Aknur Zhidebekkyzy completed a research internship at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (Melbourne, Australia) as part of the research project AP09260228 “Strengthening of state regulation of the social sphere of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the postpandemic period” from November 13 to November 18, 2022.

The Royal Melbourne University of Technology (RMIT) is ranked THE 301-350 and QS WUR 190 and has an impressive reputation for teaching and research. During the visit, faculty members met with RMIT university’s researchers, discussed the interim project results, conducted a review on the project topic. Issues of state management of the economy and the social sphere in the post-pandemic period were discussed. Additionally, cooperation opportunities were considered in the field of joint scientific projects and programs between RMIT University and Al-Farabi KazNU.

Project members also took part in the AUSSRE 2022 International Multidisciplinary Academic Conference on Social Sciences and Business Management (Melbourne, Australia) with a paper on the topic: "The impact of the pandemic on the standard of living of the population of Kazakhstan".
