Presentation of book «New Inside Out», Sue Kay
On October 6, 2011 Sue Kay, graduated of Oxford University, author of popular books «Inside Out», held a seminar on "Authenticity in teaching English, " which took place at the Center. The organizers of this event were Center for Applied Linguistics and Cross-Cultural Communication,Faculty of International Relations and MACMILLAN Print House.
The aimof the seminar-Introduction of modern technologies in foreign language by monitoring process of communicative competence forming and the plan basics of authors’ course «NEW INSIDE OUT».
More than 60 teachers and professors took part in the scientific seminar from different universities of Almaty. The «New Inside Out» is a set of materials that will help you create optimum conditions in your classroom for learning to take place. The new language is systematically reviewed and recycled until finally the students feel confident enough to use it to make their own meanings. It takes all the best of the original series – including the emphasis on personalization and meaning – and adds a host of brand new features to make it even more engaging for students and teachers.
All the teachers were awarded certificates and books from Sue Kay.
