Students learnt about the secret of Kazakh annual counting

February 24 at KazNU within the framework of pedagogical practice with the 1st year students of Chemistry and Chemical Technology faculty, studying in specialty: "6B05301-Chemistry", Aliya Kyrgyzbay, the 1st year master student of the Philological faculty, studying in specialty "M017-Training of teachers of Kazakh language and literature", held a demo lesson with the participation of her supervisor Ph.D, Altayeva Almagul Karisbekovna and associate professor, Roza Kaldybekovna Umirbekova. The topic of the lesson was "National tradition is a symbol of the national spirit. For the Russian-speaking audience, the first lesson was based on a lexical topic, and the second one, a practical lesson, was based on polysemantic words. The students shared their thoughts about Kazakh system of counting years and the age of "mushel jas". One student shared his experience, saying that he believed in a belief related to mushel jas, while others expressed the opinion that it was "a hangover of old Kazakh faith. In order to develop the level of spoken language such tasks as idea exchange, reading, writing, working with grammar topics were done at a high level which prompted the students’ interest in learning Kazakh language.
