Inclusive summer camp launched at KazNU

An inclusive summer camp Camp for All, dedicated to the development of social skills of children aged 8-14, was launched at Al-Farabi Library. The event was organised by the Department of Pedagogy and Education Management of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi KazNU.

This year KazNU hosted several events aimed at considering promising ways and development of inclusive education system, including an international practical conference and round table. In addition, in May this year at the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science a report of Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Akmaral Magauova was heard. The Academic Council on the direction of inclusive education recommended holding a camp for children with special needs. 

Today the camp started its work. The programme will include lessons in acting, intellectual games, dancing, robotics, drawing, excursions to the botanical park, the Kasteev State Museum of Art, the Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and cultural and educational places in our city.

The camp will be attended by qualified specialists from the Department of Pedagogy and Education Management, teachers from Suleiman Demirel University and master students of the speciality ‘Medical and Pedagogical Support of Inclusive Education’ of S. Asfendiyarov KazNMU.
In addition, he emphasised the importance of facilitating cooperation in the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, especially in the area of ‘Partnerships for Achieving the Goals’.
