A solemn ceremony of awarding diplomas to graduates of the Faculty of Law and Journalism was held at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
The solemn ceremony at the Faculty of Law was opened by the head of the University, Zhanseit Tuimebayev, congratulating the graduates of the university and wishing them a good journey.
"Al-Farabi Kazakh National University occupies a central place in the education of patriotic, hardworking, honest and intellectual youth.
This year, 8,974 graduates graduated from the educational institution, of which 6,758 received bachelor's degrees, 1,774 – master's degrees and 442 – doctors. Today, 328 graduates of the Faculty of Law receive law degrees. There are many winners of international and republican Olympiads and sports competitions among our graduates today. In addition to studying at the university, you have gained a lot of experience by taking part in many events held at the university. During their studies, students had the opportunity to study academic mobility at foreign partner universities due to the active strengthening of global interaction and cooperation with leading universities of the world. To date, KazNU has concluded more than 550 contracts with universities from 53 countries. I also emphasize the importance of developing cooperation within the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, especially with an emphasis on improving the "Quality of education" and "Partnership for Sustainable Development". I wish you great success in your professional search and work for the benefit of our independent state," the rector said, addressing the graduates of the Faculty of Law.
Later, Zhanseit Tuimebayev took part in an event dedicated to awarding diplomas at the Faculty of Journalism and wished the graduates a good journey.
The Faculty of Journalism has graduated 101 media specialists, 52 have received Master of Arts degrees.
At the end of the events, Zhanseit Tuimebayev presented diplomas to graduates. Deans of faculties and teachers congratulated the heroes of the occasion and wished them a successful professional start.
