A tent city has been opened for applicants
The admissions committee has opened a tent city on the KazNU campus for the convenience of applicants, where you can get all the necessary information regarding admission to the university.
The work of the admission committee to the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University continues. After the start on June 1, an electronic queue was launched, the work of technical secretaries was carried out, training seminars were organized in parallel. The most caring teachers with extensive experience in career guidance work were recruited to the team from each faculty. On July 1, 2023, the admissions committee opened "camping in a new way". The idea of the appearance of 16 tents from each faculty appeared on the initiative of the faculties themselves. We know how important it is to provide comprehensive information about the educational programs of the faculties. The originality of each, its specifics can only be told by a caring teacher. We hope that during the grant competition, volunteer students and employers will join the teachers. The main task is to create an atmosphere of a creative campus of the country's leading university.
This year, the admissions committee initiated intensive courses to prepare for admission to doctoral programs. Thus, Kazakh and English language courses have been organized to prepare for the tests, and a full package of documents for admission to doctoral studies.
In addition, the verification of international certificates confirming foreign language proficiency (IELTS, TOEFL IBT, GRE) is carried out within 15 minutes, thanks to access to these databases.
During the month of work, the admissions committee, together with the faculties, took part in seven job fairs "ALMATY – CAREER DAY" and the career guidance Festival "Career Time", organized by the Akimat of the city, where career guidance work was carried out jointly with faculties in all districts of Almaty. In addition, it was noted that it is necessary to strengthen global interaction and cooperation within the framework of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals, especially with an emphasis on the following aspects: "Quality of education", "Industry, innovation and infrastructure", as well as on the development of "Partnerships to achieve these goals".
A second trip to the cities of Aktau and Atyrau is also being prepared to receive documents on targeted educational grants allocated for Atyrau and Mangystau regions.
