THE RECTOR OF KAZNU MET WITH A PROFESSOR OF THE PEOPLES' FRIENDSHIP UNIVERSITY OF RUSSIA

Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev met with Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, advisor on scientific work of the Rector of the Patrice Lumumba Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, famous scientist, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Nur Serikovich Kirabayev and exchanged views on further strengthening of partnership relations.

During the meeting, the rector of the university acquainted the guest of honor with the achievements of KazNU and shared plans for the future. Also in his speech, the head of the university stressed the need for further development of KazNU's partnership with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia.

"Today, KazNU closely cooperates with Russian universities, including the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia. In 2022, a branch of the NRU MEPhI was opened at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. Russian professors specially come to the Treasury and give lectures. At our university, special attention is paid to science. We are ready for further development of partnership with Russian universities in the field of education and science, we cooperate with the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia on a number of educational programs. Today we want to present a diploma to graduates who studied under a two-degree program in the specialty "philosophy". We must further deepen our cooperation," the rector said in his speech.

In turn, Professor of the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia Nur Serikovich Kirabayev thanked the rector of the University and expressed support for these initiatives. Also during the meeting, diplomas were awarded to graduates who studied in the master's degree program in the specialty "philosophy".

After the meeting with the Rector, Nur Serikovich Kirabayev got acquainted with the work of the Al-Farabi Center, discussed the development of bilateral cooperation in humanitarian fields, the implementation of international projects, the publication of joint articles in highly rated journals.

The event, held at the Al-Farabi Center, was attended by: Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Bekzhan Meirbayev, heads of departments: Religious Studies and Political Science – Ainur Kurmanalieva, Political Science – Gulnara Nasimova, Philosophy – Asset Koranbek, scientists of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Rashid Mukhitdinov, Marzhan Aliqbayeva, Aktore Kopbay and staff of the center.
