World Philosophy Day

Department of Philosophy of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science has held an event devoted to the World Day of Philosophy. As part of the celebration the international scientific conference called "Spiritual origins of the Turkic world" - VI readings from Kasymzhanov took place. It was attended by well-known foreign and Kazakh philosophers who made ​​presentations on the urgent problems of Turkic and modern philosophy.

At the roundtable named "The Man in the new digital world: opportunities and threats" head of the department of philosophy of KazNU G. Nurysheva, assistant professors of the philosophy department O. Boretsky, G. Myamesheva, associate professor of the department of political science L. Kim, master students and the undergraduate students of the departments of philosophy and political science, international relations, oriental studies, chemistry and chemical technology, discussed the reports on philosophical questions of artificial intelligence, network warfare, patent rights and laws operating in cyberspace, etc.

During a meeting in "Cinema Club" of Oleg Boretskiy the excerpts from the film "Black Mirror' have been shown. The film raised the problems of current and future phantom identity of a person and the mix of virtual and real worlds of the man.

Master students and undergraduates who took an active part in the events have been awarded with diplomas of the Department of Philosophy and Political Science.
