I am proud to stady at this university

I have always been attracted by the possibility of studying on an exchange in another country. As soon as I learned about the existence of a joint educational program at my university with Al-Farabi KazNU, I decided to take this chance and entered the joint educational program of the master's program "7M05305 Engineering Physics (NRU ITMO)". In the first semester, we studied at ITMO University, St. Petersburg. In the second semester, I study with my classmates at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Almaty city.

Impressions from the city of Alma-Ata and the university are unforgettable! A warm welcome, advanced infrastructure and a convenient location make studying and staying here very comfortable. Al-Farabi KazNU ranks 150th in the QS World University Rankings 2023 for a reason.

Currently, I am studying in the scientific and pedagogical direction of the master's program at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, which in the future will allow me to teach at a university. The training program includes practice, which consolidates the theoretically covered material, and gives invaluable experience. In addition to basic subjects related to the specialty, there is also an emphasis on a foreign language, technical English. All this opens doors and expands the boundaries for an international career.

In addition, students are provided with motivational support and assistance in adaptation. Diverse teaching staff, many young teachers. Here they support activity, initiative and ambitious undertakings. For example, when the idea of creating an English conversation club arose, I turned to the dean's office and they actively met me and assisted in this project.

I also want to note that the university is a scientific center and provides an opportunity to participate in various scientific conferences, make presentations, presentations, share ideas, developments and research.

I can't say anything about the campus, or, as it is called, “KazGUgrad”. This is a very clean, comfortable and safe place, with a beautiful view of the mountains, and located next to the Botanical Garden. Walking here is a pleasure.

The conditions in the dormitories will not leave indifferent even sophisticated students. Each room has an individual bathroom. On each floor, there is a kitchen with electric stoves, reading rooms for studying, and if you need to wash things, there are washing machines, and everything you need to relax. Friendly staff maintains cleanliness and order; any domestic issues are quickly resolved.

"Cherry on the cake" I will mark the Al-Farabi library. An innovative, beautiful building equipped with modern facilities, a rich library, a computer room for study, a cafe, a museum, a conference room, etc. I want to go back there; I want to spend time there with benefit.

I express my gratitude to all the staff of the university for their invaluable work and unlimited patience, and I am proud that I study at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
