KazNU was chosen by more than 4 thousand holders of educational grants
According to the results of the competition for awarding state educational grants for bachelor's degree in 2023-2024, 4090 people became winners from Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
According to the National Testing Center, 4,090 people were among the winners from the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, including 99 people who received a state educational grant under preferential programs in categories provided by the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Two people were accepted for reserve and remaining vacant grants, 42 foreign citizens according to international agreements. According to the quota for persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan, 51 grants were awarded.
In comparison with the last academic year, in this 2023-2024 academic year, the number of places increased by 877, by faculties: philology – by 6 more holders, history – by 43, geography and environmental management – by 104, physics and technology - by 524, chemistry and chemical technology – by 28, mechanics and mathematics – by 177, medicine and healthcare – 15 more, biology and biotechnology – 82 more.
In the list of winners, state grants were distributed among groups of educational programs. The following faculties were in high demand from applicants: information technology: all 208 grant places (100%) were received by applicants from KazNU, physics and technology - out of 146 grant places, all 100% chose the leading university of the country, electrical engineering and power engineering also had one hundred percent popularity (136 out of 136).
A similar trend in the selection of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University can be observed in the specialties of other faculties: geography and environmental management – "cadastre and land management" – 244 out of 300 grant holders chose KazNU, philology – 70 out of 100 chose.
Thus, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University is one of the leaders among organizations of higher and postgraduate education in the preferential selection of the most popular higher school programs.
