Scientists of KazNU received an award

Scientists of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University received cash prizes for articles published in international rating editions included in the Scopus database. 

Scientists received prizes for publications in the amount of 129.1 million tenge with the support of the Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Kanceitovich Tuimebaev.

Scopus is the world's largest abstract database, which allows to determine the level of citation of articles of scientific publications. This database is used by rating agencies to compile world rankings of universities. Financial incentives for authors of KazNU is one of the most effective tools to attract students and teachers to research activities.

   Today, KazNU hosts many activities on all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Many scientific and educational projects of the leading higher education institution of the country are realized within the framework of SDGs, issues of improving the quality of education, peace, justice and effective institutions, partnership for sustainable development are comprehensively covered.

  537 articles by university staff published in 2022 were selected based on SJR, quartiles and percentiles of CiteScore ranking journals.
