Language is the core of cultural heritage

September 05 is the day of languages, as well as the birthday of a great personality who fought for the fate and language of the Kazakh people, member of the “Alash” and teacher of the nation Akhmet Baitursynov. The Day of Languages is associated with the birthday of Akhmet Baitursynov, who was nicknamed the teacher of the nation, for fighting for the preservation of the Kazakh language, leaving behind great edifications "Language is the force that affects both the preservation of the nation and its disappearance"
The president of the country also pays special attention to expanding the scope of the state language Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. "The state language is another symbol uniting the people of Kazakhstan. The Kazakh language will forever remain on the pedestal as the state language. The task of the state is to continue to expand the scope of the Kazakh language."  
           As part of the celebration of the Day of Languages of the peoples of Kazakhstan, which is a revered holiday for the country, on 08.09.2023, the Department of "World History, Historiography and Source Studies" of the Faculty of History organized an open curatorial lesson "Language is the core of cultural heritage" with the participation of 1st year students of the specialty "6B03204 - archival science, Documentation and documentation management".
          During the event, reports on the life of A. Baitursynov, the reformer of the guardian of the language, who created the national alphabet in the history of Kazakh science, proposed a new model of spelling, abbreviated writing, Arabic graphics, and students shared their thoughts about the properties of the national language, reading the works and poems of poets and writers, were discussed.
