Results of the city competition "Almaty Ustazy"

With the support of the Akimat of Almaty, the city competition "Almaty Ustazy" has been held among school teachers under the age of 36 since 2021. In April, more than two thousand applications from teachers were received to participate in the competition. On September 22, 2023, 13 teachers who passed the first and second stages of the competition received a ticket to the final stage. The goal is to hone their creativity, to acquaint young teachers of the city with advanced teaching technologies. In order to improve the status of a teacher, the participant awarded the Grand Prix was awarded a grant in the amount of 5 million tenge from the City Department of Education. Also, 5 young professionals who took 5th place had the opportunity to visit Singapore and undergo an internship. The jury paid special attention to the novelty of teaching, the peculiarities of the technology of working with schoolchildren. Associate Professor of the Faculty of History of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University G. E. Sabdenova worked as a member of the jury of the competition. The contestants defended the project on the theme "I am a Teacher - leader". The presented projects were aimed at high-quality education at school, offered innovative methods aimed at better assimilation of lessons by modern students. We are proud that among the 5 winning teachers, Ernar Abdikhalykov, a graduate of the Faculty of History named after him, took second place.Al-Farabi, history teacher of the gymnasium school No. 168 in Almaty. We hope that the winners will demonstrate advanced technologies in the field of education of the country abroad!
