In KazNU named after Al-Farabi there is a competition "Young Talents" under the title "We are the youth of New Kazakhstan!" among 1st year students of Kazakhstan, foreign students, as well as among students with developmental disabilities. The purpose of this contest is to popularize among the student youth the national spiritual culture of the youth of New Kazakhstan through the art of talented youth who have shown themselves in a multifaceted art contest, to popularize among the student youth the power of the world of art, uniting multifaceted art, elevating the spirit of youth. Kazakhstan, foreign students of the 1st year of the university and students with limited development opportunities can take part in the contest. Contest directions:
- Handicrafts competition (increasing the interest of young people in our national handicrafts passed down from generation to generation. Presentation of handicrafts with their own hands. Promotion of ornaments, development of the art of quilting, embroidery in the national style).
- Vocalists' contest (pop, classical and traditional. Forms of performance: solo, duet, small forms (3-6 people). Requirements: duration of the song - no more than 3 minutes. Evaluation criteria: musical skill, timbre of voice, purity of intonation, range of voice, high artistic content of the repertoire).
- Competition of dancers (folk, modern, classical dances. Forms of performance: small forms (from 6 to 12 people). Ensembles (from 8 to 24 people).Requirements: duration of dances - no more than 3 minutes).
- Best performance on musical instruments (percussion, wind, plucked, string, keyboard instruments. Duration of performance - not more than 3 minutes. Forms of performance: solos, duets, trios and folklore ensembles. Evaluation criteria: performance skill and technique, musical and artistic skill.
- Contest of presenters (conditions of the contest: reading the script, a work that allows to show the tone of voice, words of edification, poems, expressive reading of excerpts from art works. At the decisive stage special situational questions are asked, special attention is paid to the participant's entrance to the stage, adequate movements, speech culture and behavior on the stage).
- Acting contest (selection to the musical theater "Zhastar". Evaluation criteria: acting skills of performers, performance skills (diction, clarity of intonation, artistry, authenticity of the created stage image).
Contest of the super mobilographer (conditions of the contest: creative presentation of 3-4 video works; topics Video: "KazNU - sacred Alma Mater", "Me and the art of mobilography", shooting should contain frames "Contrast", "Macro, micro". The footage should be taken in horizontal HD format. Genre elements (subtitles, music) can be used with the cache.
The performances of the participants in each contest are evaluated by a jury consisting of RK pop stars, famous producers, artists, choreographers and mobilographers.
At the end of the contest winners and laureates will be awarded with diplomas and prizes.
Casting will be held from October 9 to November 10 in the Palace of Students in rooms 312, 313, "Ruhani" and dance halls.
The winners of the competition will have the opportunity to present their performances at the Palace of Students named after U. A. Zholdasbekov, at the final gala concert of the festival, which will be held on November 17.
