"Poverty Eradication". Lecture of Smekenov Izat in the frame of SDG2

20 october, 2023

Today, PhD, senior teacher of the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics Izat Temirgalievich Smekenov, together with 4th-year students (Specialty “6B05105-Genetics”) on the lesson “Chromosomal and Genetic Engineering” discussed the goals in the field of sustainable development, namely the consequences of poverty, analysis of the impact of poverty on economic growth and social tensions and strategies to eliminate them.

During the lecture, the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on increasing poverty in the country and increasing inflation was also discussed. In addition, using the example of Maslow’s pyramid, Izat Temirgalievich showed how poverty negatively affects all human physiological processes (breathing, nutrition, sleep, etc.), and the dissatisfaction with primary needs does not allow one to move to the next level. Only at the top of the pyramid is a person capable of self-development, which will have a positive impact on the development of the country and the world as a whole. Help, donate, and be honest!
