Festive event dedicated to the Republic Day
On October 24, a solemn meeting dedicated to the Republic Day, the most important holiday of a sovereign country, was held in the Al-Farabi Library.
The festive evening was attended by Chairman of the Board-Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, representatives of the intelligentsia, scientists, teachers and students of the university. The solemn meeting opened with a live performance of the Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan by schoolchildren and vocalists of the ART Center.
Rector of KazNU Zhanseit Tuimebayev congratulated the university staff on a significant holiday, presented the teachers with a letter of thanks from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a certificate of honor from Rector Zhanseit Tuimebayev and letters of thanks. Also, a number of teachers and staff of the university were awarded the medal "Eren enbegi Ushin".
The festive event continued with a concert program prepared by professional staff and active students of the ART Center. The concert was opened by the orchestra of national instruments "FARABI SAZY" and dancers of the show ballet "FARAB" with a musical number "Medley of folk songs". The song "Sarzhailau" performed by the 3rd year student of the Faculty of Journalism Sabina Zhenishanova gave the audience a good mood. With her gentle voice and graceful dance of the show ballet "FARAB", singing "Gakku", 2nd year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Bazarbai Aruzhan gave the guests of the evening a wonderful mood. The evening was also decorated with the performance of "Palladio", performed by the musicians of the symphony orchestra on violin and cello instrument, invited as guests of the holiday.
Laureates of international competitions, soloists of the Abai Opera and Ballet Theater Bekzat Abitov, Margulan Moldabekov and 1st-year graduate student of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Sapina Lana performed the song "Otan". Special attention of the audience was paid to this work, which aroused special patriotic feelings.
At the end of the concert program, all the participants of the concert performed the song "I love you, Kazakhstan!".
A special mood was given to the guests of the solemn evening for the Republic Day, prepared by professional staff and active students of the ART Center.
