KazNU student won a gold medal at the Turkic Universiade

Akezhan Aitbekov, a 3rd year student of the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, won a gold medal in freestyle wrestling at the ІІ Turkic Universiade.

About 500 young athletes from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Hungary, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan take part in the II Turkic Universiade among student-athletes of the countries of the Organization of Turkic States, which is held in the city of Turkestan.

KazNU students compete in freestyle wrestling, chess, volleyball, judo and table tennis. Competitions are held in sports complex Olimpic Centr and International Kazakh-Turkish University named after H.A.Yasawi.

The Turkic Universiade will last until November 10.
