Green economy is the main trend of the future

On November 10, 2023, in the assembly hall of hostel No. 16, a curatorial hour was held with 1st-year students of the Department of Economics 6B04103-Economics on the topic “Green economy - the main trend of the future.” A green economy is a successful economy leading to the improved well-being of the population through the efficient and rational use of natural resources by the international obligations assumed by Kazakhstan and for the benefit of future generations. According to the 13th goal of sustainable development of the future society - “Climate action” , the 14th goal - “Life below water”, the 15th goal - “Life on land”,  it is important to take measures for nature and raw materials. During the curated hour, our achievements in the green economy program were revealed to the world, and environmentally efficient services in the field of oil and gas production were presented. Transitioning to a green economy will reduce the likelihood of threats such as climate change, mineral depletion, and water shortages. We believe that with systemic actions, coordinated work of stakeholders, and joint work of the state, business, and society, Kazakhstan will achieve great success both in this direction and on the world stage.
