On November 07, 2023, the Department of Kazakh Literature and Literary Theory of the Philological Faculty of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University the International Research Conference: " Takhaui Akhtanov’s Artistic World" dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the classic of Kazakh literature Takhaui Akhtanov.
The teachers of higher and secondary educational institutions, the prominent scientists, the doctoral students, the undergraduates and the students of the universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan and from near and far abroad took part in the conference.
The moderator of the conference was Doctor of Philology, Professor, Secretary of the Board of the Writers' Union, laureate of the International Literary Award "Alash", Honored Worker of Kazakhstan, Kanseit Abdezovich.
Professor of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Doctor of Philology Bisengali Zinol-Gabden Kabiuly, writer, playwright, researcher, translator, Executive Secretary of the journal "Zhuldyz" Kami Nurlan Izgalievich, Doctor of Philology, chief researcher of M.O. Auezov Institute of Literature and Art, Orda Gulzhakhan Zhumaberdikyzy, critic, journalist, laureate of the State Youth Award "Daryn", editor of the Department of "Zhas Alash" republican newspaper, Bagashar Tursynbayuly, professor of the KNB Academy, Candidate of Philological Sciences Biralieva Gulmira, critic of literature and cinema, journalist, translator Maksat Dyusmagambetov made reports about the creative work of the writer. The speakers showed the writing and critical skills of the classic.
Gulmira Birali, who defended her PhD thesis under the guidance of Academician Z. Kabdolova presented the monograph "Moral searches in the prose of Takhavi Akhtanov" to the participants of the conference.
The students who took part in the event got acquainted with new interpretations of T. Akhtanov's work and got inspired by his creative works again.
