The Lithuanian ambassador's leadership lecture focused on diplomacy issues

Egidijus Navikas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Lithuania to Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, spoke at the Faculty of International Relations of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The lecture on "Diplomacy and Security" brought together scholars, faculty and young people of the university.

Leila Delovarova, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, introduced the guest of honor and dwelt on his labor activity.

"Egidijus Navikas studied at the top European Institute of International Studies located in Nice, in 1993-95 at the Institute of International Relations and Political Science in Lithuania, where he received a master's degree. He started his career in 1994. To this day, Mr. Egidijus Navikas has been successfully working in various positions and contributing to the development of Lithuania's foreign policy in the international arena. Today's meeting is very important for the young students of our Faculty of International Relations - future specialists in the field of diplomacy," said the Dean.

In turn, the speaker highlighted such issues as: diplomacy-security relations, the development of the situation in the Baltics, the foreign policy of the Republic of Lithuania and contemporary challenges to international security.

"Currently, the geopolitical situation in the world is changing from day to day. Therefore, I believe that every state should interact diplomatically with other countries. At present, the Republic of Lithuania cooperates and strengthens ties with a large number of countries around the world. Lithuanian embassies and consular offices have been opened in many countries. This is a great achievement," the Ambassador said.

Egidijus Navikas also spoke about Lithuania's position in international relations and shared valuable information.

At the end of the lecture, the participants asked questions and received comprehensive answers.
