Low-cost and clean energy

21 november, 2023

Energy is an important sphere of human activity, as it ensures the development of modern economy. The world should achieve carbon neutrality by 2050. Most electricity today is generated by burning fossil fuels (oil, coal and natural gas). Some power also comes from nuclear energy, and from the power of large dams. In order to understand why we need clean energy, on 20.11.2023 at the Faculty of Medicine and Public Health, Associate Professor of the Department of Epidemiology, biostatistics and evidence-based medicine Raushanova A.M. conducted a webinar with 4th year students of the speciality "Public Health", where they discussed current topics on this issue: "Benefits and costs of clean energy", "Health problems from non-renewable energy", "How to use electricity better" and many other issues.
