Effective Communication Management

On September 29, 2023 the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the “Effective Communications Management” training seminar for the students majoring in political science, conflict studies, sociology, as well as cultural and religious studies as a part of the comprehensive programme to promote the UN sustainable development goals. The event is held with the financial support of the Almaty Municipal Public Development Department. The Chairman of the Civil Alliance of Almaty Kairzhan Abdykhalykov and the Political expert Zamir Karazhanov spoke before the participants.

 

The Dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science Bekzhan Meirbaev noted the significance of such a seminar especially amidst rapid digitalization. “I am sure that today’s seminar will help to boost students’ communication skills, - he said in his welcoming speech conveying the mutually shared gratitude to the Almaty Municipal Public Development Department and the Almaty Civic Alliance for their support. “Greater mastering of effective communication throughout the country on all levels shall contribute into implementation of the sustainable development goals”.

The acute significance of the today's seminar was also stressed by the Head of the Department of Political Science and Technology Gulnar Nasimova. “While studying at the Department students are taking a number of courses relating to the different aspects of communication. Today they are given an opportunity to gain practical communication skills”, - she noted.

In the course of the seminar, the students improved their understanding of the communication as a process, the tools to enhance its effectiveness as well as that of information transmitting and receiving. They also were given the change of practical application of effective communication tools and management of the various communication channels. There was a particular emphasis was made on the communication between the government agencies and the population.

The participants of the seminar training shall be awarded with certificates.
