The “Ambassador Hour” was held at the Department of Middle East and South Asia
On November 23, as part of the partnership for sustainable development of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) project, the “Ambassador Hour” was held at the Department of Middle East and South Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies with the participation of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Republic of Kazakhstan, Mr. Ali Akbar Jowkar. The Ambassador spoke generally about the science of Oriental studies, about the universal human values of the work of the great Kazakh poet Abai, and the works of al-Farabi, the bright star of the East. Mr. Mohsen Faghani, Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Milad Samet Khairandish, Vice Consul of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty, Hossein Aghazadeh, Attaché of the Consulate General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Almaty Almaty, were also present at the meeting with the distinguished guest. The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies N.B. Yem, deputy deans, heads of departments, teachers and students. Iranian studies students read poems by Omar Khayyam, Hafiz, Sagdi, and Mr. Ali Akbar Jowkar presented them with gifts.
