Partnership for Sustainable Development

5 december, 2023

On December 5, 2023, the 1st year international  students from Turkmenistan majoring in “6B02303 - Foreign Philology (Western languages)” of the Department  of Foreign Philology and Translation studies together  with their  advisor Ongarbayeva M.S. visited Ykylas Museum of Musical Instruments — the Museum of folk musical instruments located in the Park of 28 Panfilov Guards in Alma-Ata within the framework of  the Sustainable Development Goals. According to “Partnership for Sustainable Development” SDG 17, it is impossible to achieve   sustainable development  without building partnerships at the global, regional and local levels. In this regard, building a dialogue of cultures is one of the constituent factors in regulating interethnic relations.

The students from Turkmenistan were acquainted  with the folk musical instruments of the Kazakh people. The museum's exposition included the best examples of traditional musical art, which allowed students to get an idea of the development of culture in Kazakhstan and Central Asia as a whole since ancient times.
