KazNU actively promotes the UN 17 sustainable development goals: the university hosted a meeting with representatives of UNHCR and the Red Crescent Society
At Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, at the Faculty of International Relations, a meeting was held with Representatives of the National Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Kazakhstan, together with the Red Crescent Society.
The main purpose of the meeting was to facilitate the establishment of cooperation and obtain comprehensive information about the academic performance of students in the DAFI (German Academic Refugee Initiative Albert Einstein) program.
At the moment, two students are studying at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University under the DAFI scholarship program, at the Faculty of Information Technology and at the Faculty of International Relations.
Representatives of the leadership of the two faculties - Dean of the Faculty of International Relations Leila Delovarova, Head of the Department of International Relations and World Economy Gulnarа Baikushikova, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Information Technologies Beysov Nurbol, Head of the Department of Computer Science Satymbekov Maksatbek - spoke about the academic performance of their students who are studying under the DAFI scholarship program and their integration into the life of the university.
During the meeting, it was also noted that KazNU is the global UN hub of the UNAI program and is actively working to promote 17 sustainable development goals.
