On December 14, 2023, at 16:00, a lecturer at the Department of Customs, Financial and Environmental Law, Candidate of Law, Associate Professor Amanzholov Zh.M. held a webinar on the topic "Drugs are the disease of the century". The 2nd year undergraduates of the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law Muratkyzy A., Turysbek A., Abdullah A. took part in the webinar as speakers. The webinar was organized within the framework of 3 SDGs. The purpose of the webinar is to encourage students to avoid alien behavior and promote a healthy lifestyle. At the webinar, students were able to gain theoretical knowledge about the consequences of drug use. Life situations were described using examples.
In short, drug addiction is the scourge of our time, and drugs are a disease of society, a threat that has conquered the world. Drug addiction is a chronic disease that occurs as a result of pathological addiction to narcotic substances. Drugs is a term that came from the Greek language, which means "loss of consciousness" in Greek. The first Greek healer to introduce the term was Hippocrates. The drug is a substance that causes complete loss of sensitivity, and in some cases, paralysis. As for the history of drugs, they date back five thousand years before our era. Initially, the drug was used for medical purposes.
To summarize, as of March 1, 2023, the number of people under dynamic supervision with a diagnosis of "mental behavior disorders caused by drug use" is 18,216 people.

And the number of deaths from toxic effects of psychoactive substances:
In 2020, 72 cases-65 men, 7 women;
In 2021, there were 74 cases-57 men, 16 women, 1 minor;
In 2022, there were 87 cases - 78 men, 9 women.
