Tuberculosis is an infectious and socially significant disease
Sustainable Development Goal target 3.3 (SDG 3 Good Health and Well-being) states: by 2030, end the epidemics of AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria and neglected tropical diseases and control hepatitis, waterborne diseases and other infectious diseases.
Tuberculosis continues to be a major cause of death and is now a global threat to public health worldwide.
Young people are among the most vulnerable group and rapidly involved in the epidemiological process. The high incidence of tuberculosis indicates that young people are poorly informed about tuberculosis, how it spreads and how to prevent it.
