In KazNU discussed the issues of publishing and literary process

The Al-Farabi Library of Kazakh National University hosted an international scientific-practical conference "Publishing and literary process: writer - editor - reader" dedicated to the 60th anniversary of poet, scientist Bauyrzhan Zhakyp.

The conference was attended by renowned scientists, writers, media leaders, professors and young people of KazNU. Scientists from Turkey, Kyrgyzstan and rectors of universities of the country joined the meeting in online format.

Chairman of the Board - Rector of Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi Zhanseit Tuimebayev noted the special place of the jubilee in science and Kazakh literature.

"Having started your career in journalism as a student, teacher of KazNU, you have reached great heights. Today you are a doctor of philological sciences, professor of the Faculty of Journalism.

You successfully work in science and literature. You have managed to form your unique creative handwriting. Modern readers are very familiar with your works", - noted the rector.

During the event, a special collection was presented in which the materials of the scientific-practical conference were collected.

The reports were made by the Director of the Scientific Research Institute "Abai", Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Zhangara Dadebaev, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Namazaly Omashev and others.

The participants of the conference highly appreciated the merits of the poet, scientist Bauyrzhan Zhakyp in the development of modern publishing and literature.

Bauyrzhan Omirzhanuly Zhakyp - Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, journalist, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor of the Faculty of Journalism. The scientist founded his own school. He studied new directions of national journalism, published substantial monographs and textbooks.

The books that came out from under the poet's pen - "Auditorium", "Aidyndagy Aspan", "Koltanңba", "Abaidyң Kaskabbulagy" - found recognition of readers. His creative works were awarded the State Prize "Daryn", the International Literary Prize "Alash", the orders of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Parasat" and "Kurmet".

Today Bauyrzhan Zhakyp honorably holds the position of Deputy Chairman of the Board of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan, supporting young talents.

Within the framework of the conference, organized by the Department of Publishing, Editing and Design Art, an exhibition of books and photographs dedicated to the creative and scientific-pedagogical work of the scientist Bauyrzhan Omirzhanuly was presented.

The conference participants continued discussing the issues in thematic sessions.
