Current issues of Chinese studies in Kazakhstan were discussed

Chairman of the Board-Rector of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev held a meeting with a scientist, Professor of the Faculty of Mechanics and Mathematics Kulyash Kaliyeva.

The parties discussed the problems and prospects of Chinese studies, as well as issues of international cooperation.

Kulyash Kaliyeva informed the Rector about the works carried out to date, in particular, about scientific-innovative projects of scientists of the Department of Chinese Studies.

KazNU actively cooperates with China in educational, scientific and innovative spheres. Currently, the university has concluded cooperation agreements with 55 universities, scientific organizations and companies from the Celestial Empire. Professors come to the university from China and regularly give lectures. Today the university successfully implements its activities at the Department of Chinese Studies and Confucius Institute, where many scientific conferences and meetings are held

At the end of the meeting Zhanseit Tuimebaev gave a number of specific instructions for the development of Chinese studies in KazNU.
