Response to the interview of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev dated January 3, 2024

In an interview with Egemen Qazaqstan, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev spoke in detail about the problems of concern to society today, reflecting on the events in the past years. The Head of State spoke about political reforms, the mechanism and guarantor of human rights activities, pointed out a number of specific features in the electoral system, and also stressed the new rules for electing deputies of the Mazhilis and maslikhats in the country.

       In an interview, the Head of State focused on achievements in the socio-economic development of the country and ways to solve problems. It was said that a number of mechanisms have been launched to create a competitive economy in the country: economic diversification, infrastructure renovation, and investment attraction.  It is noted that the state also pays attention to the development of education and healthcare.

        A number of summits are planned on the basis of political guidelines that determine the interests of the nation. It is noted that the traditions of honoring the citizens of the country will continue, large-scale studies will be conducted on the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Datajuchi ulus, which indicates a deeply rooted statehood.

The Head of State also gave his assessment of the January events.

        Thus, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, in an interview with the main publication of the country, speaking about the political, socio-economic development of the country over the past year, expressed hope for the New Year.
