KazNU wins 40 Erasmus+ grants

Al-Farabi KazNU in 2023/24 academic year together with European universities won 40 grants for student training and faculty internships under the Erasmus+ program "International Credit Mobility".

Thanks to this program, students of the university within the framework of academic mobility will study in leading universities in Europe, and teachers will be able to take refresher courses.

As noted the director of the Department of International Activities of Al-Farabi KazNU Saltanat Zhakybaeva, European universities at their discretion choose the universities with which they wish to implement the program of credit mobility of students and teachers. "Students can study within the international credit mobility program in European universities for a semester, and teachers will be trained to improve their skills and teach special courses in their specialty in European universities for 5-14 days. The selection of winners was carried out according to the results of the competition, as a result the best students and teachers of KazNU were selected", - said S. Zhakybayeva.

Financing of 40 projects (received in 2023) on international credit mobility Erasmus+ will operate in 2024-2027, as well as in any specialties defined by the host university.

The winners of the competition will study at different universities in Germany, Spain, France, Hungary, Italy, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and others.  During their studies, students will not only improve their knowledge, but also gain a lot of experience and skills. Such foreign programs contribute to the development of academic mobility, cultural ties, as well as increase the level of competitiveness of future specialists in the market.  

It should be noted that all expenses for the training of students and teachers are financed by the European Union.
