Cooperation between KazNU and N.Ogarev MSU continues

In Saransk (RF) a meeting between the scientists of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU and the heads of the journal "Education Integration" of N.P.Ogarev MSU took place.

At the meeting, Nurzhan Saparbaeva, lecturer, PhD student of the Department of Chinese Studies, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, discussed the results of long-term cooperation and future plans with Svetlana Gordina and Yulia Nikonova, editors-in-chief of the journal "Education Integration" of the N.P.Ogarev Mordovian State Research University.

The Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU has been successfully cooperating with the N.P.Ogarev Mordovian State Research University for many years.

In the articles the scientist highlights the results of joint work with the Department of English Philology of N.P.Ogarev MSU. Nurzhan Baltazhanovna taught 2nd year students the second foreign language - Chinese. During her stay in Saransk, twice a week she held a Speaking club with the participation of Chinese students who arrived from Wuhan. After the teacher's departure the classes continued in online format. In summer Nurzhan Baltazhanovna visited Saransk again. After the course of face-to-face classes, a final exam on the subject was held. A round table on "Trends and Prospects of Learning Chinese as a Foreign Language" was also held.

Active cooperation with Russian colleagues continues to this day. As part of this work, the teacher has repeatedly published articles in journals included in the Scopus database. In particular, Educational Migration from Kazakhstan to China; Reality and Prospects (Integration of Education. T.23, No. 4, 2019, 504 S). During her business trips to Saransk, she taught students at the N.P.Ogaryov Mordovian State University. 

"The main event was participation in the All-Russian scientific-practical conference "Foreign Languages in the Dialogue of Cultures", where I made a report "Chinese Language in the Dialogue of Cultures", - shared Nurzhan Baltazhanovna. - Su Jiaying, a 2nd year master student of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, who came to the conference with me during this period, also made a report at the conference under my guidance on "The role of the Chinese language in the international arena", surprising those present with the correctness and expressiveness of her speech".

Currently, the teacher is on another business trip to the city of Saransk, where he teaches face-to-face classes to students of 1-3 years. On March 5, 2024 the 1st round of the international student essay contest will be held among the students of N.P.Ogaryov Mordovian State Research University and Al-Farabi KazNU. The winners of the 1st round will take part in the international round of the contest, which will be held online in Chinese on March 18. Together with colleagues Nurzhan Baltazhanovna prepared an article in the journal "Education Integration", which is included in the Scopus database.

Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU has been cooperating with the journal for several years and there are already several successful publications in the journal "Integration of Education", which gave the opportunity to successfully defend our doctoral students and gave our teachers the opportunity to publish in highly rated international journals.
