The grand opening of the jubilee year of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University took place on January 15. Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with a 90-year history is today the mainstay of the Higher School of our state, the largest forge for personnel training throughout Central Asia. The guests of honor of the anniversary evening were Vice Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan Darkhan Ahmed-Zaki, Akim of Almaty Yerbolat Dosayev, Chairman of the Board - Rector of Al–Farabi Kazakh National University Zhanseit Tuimebayev, Chairman of the Board of Directors, President of the Alumni Association of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Kairat Mami, government and public figures, veterans of the University, KazNU graduates and teachers, young people studying, media representatives. The grand opening began with a welcoming speech by Chairman of the Board – Rector of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Tuimebayev Zhanseit Kanseitovich.
The best employees of the university were awarded the badge "For Services to the development of science", the badge "For contribution to the development of their native language", the Diploma of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Letter of Thanks from the Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the "Veteran of Labor medal, the badge "Ibrai Altynsarina", the badge the sign of the "Al-Farabi gold medal", the "Al-Farabi silver medal", the "Yeren enbegi ushin" medal.
The evening continued with a festive concert of KazNU students, prepared by professional specialists of the ART center. The student dance ensemble "Farab Kyzdary" performed on the stage with the dance "Farab". The song "Bulbul" by the 2nd year undergraduate of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Bazarbai Aruzhan gave the guests a good mood. Accompanied by the newly created student ethnic ensemble "Farab", 1st year undergraduate student of the Faculty of Physics and Technology Sapina Lana performed the song "Kazakh Waltzes" live. The song "Kazakh eli" performed by the student choir was performed together with the guests of the evening, who stood up and applauded. The jubilee atmosphere in the library left unforgettable warm feelings for every kazgushnik and guests of the evening.
