KazNU takes part in Digital Almaty 2024

Al-Farabi KazNU takes part in the VI digital forum Digital Almaty 2024, presenting innovative startup projects of the university's scientists.

The VI International Digital Forum Digital Almaty 2024 brought together government officials from the SCO and EAEU countries, leading experts and entrepreneurs to exchange experience and ideas aimed at shaping a new era of the digital industry.

As part of a rich business program, the participants will discuss the topics of digital transformation in industry and innovative solutions in the areas of GovTech, Industry 4.0, ESG, Smart City, share fresh cases from leading experts, and present projects as part of an exhibition of innovative technologies.

Participating in the forum, Al-Farabi KazNU, presents startup projects: "Modernization of digital content of tourism: mobile applications, panoramic 3d tours, interactive maps and qr codes", "Innovative designer of small spacecraft for STEM-education", "Water resources monitoring system based on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things" and others.

The mobile application TOURISMQAZ developed by scientists is an automated system for managing the relationship between clients (tourists) and suppliers of the main categories of tourist services - transportation, accommodation, catering, tour guides, instructors and interpreters, entertainment and others.

Under the project "Water resources monitoring system based on AI and IoT", the university researchers developed an information-analytical system for water resources monitoring in the Ili-Balkhash basin based on ontology for effective water resources management in modern conditions and created a web map for spatial visualization of ontology data.

The project "Production of innovative designers of small spacecraft for educational institutions" is implemented with the support of the Science Foundation JSC on the basis of the Center for Process Innovations. It is aimed at the development of space robotics, as well as STEM-education in schools and universities of the country. It is planned to introduce the AlfaSat designer to colleges and universities of the country.

The Digital Almaty 2024 Forum will last until February 3. More than 200 speakers from among international experts, industry leaders, leading innovators in IT and business will take part in the panel sessions, sharing successful cases in the application of new technologies in the real sector of the economy and innovation.
