Within the framework of SDG 4 "Quality Education" of the United Nations, on January 29, 2024, the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a forum "Quality assurance in higher education: state and prospects of development".
Three thematic sessions were held at the forum:
- Tuning of the internal quality assurance system of the organization of higher education;
- Improving the training of scientific personnel;
- Improvement of the system of state regulation of higher and postgraduate education.
During the forum, a workshop "New approaches to conducting control measures" was held for experts involved in conducting state control measures
E.K. Saparbekova, Head of the Regulatory Policy Department of the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan, informed in 2023 at the end of the approval of the database of experts on state control under the Committee for Quality Assurance in Science and Higher Education of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The program of the forum was attended by heads, vice-rectors of universities of Kazakhstan, chairmen of scientific councils, representatives of universities involved in state control measures as experts. Reports on science and higher education were made by the Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayasat Nurbek, Chairman of the KOKSNVO of the Ministry of Foreign Economic Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A.J. Toibayev, online President of EQAR Stefan Levik.
Topical issues related to improving the quality of science and higher education were discussed at the forum, new norms of existing regulatory legal acts were discussed.
