Diploma of III degree of the competition of research projects “Almaty Daryny”

Within the framework of SDG 4, aimed at early childhood education and lifelong learning by providing free access to educational resources for people who do not study at university, the project work of the 11 B class of CSI “School-gymnasium №5” was completed by Shayki Khantemir and was awarded a diploma of III degree. It was submitted to the competition of research projects in the Republican Scientific and Practical Center “Daryn” of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This event is held annually with the support of the Center for identification and support of gifted children and talented youth “Almaty Daryny” of the Department of Education of Almaty.

The work was carried out at the Chair of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Private Institution “Institute of Polymer Materials and Technologies”. Scientific supervisors of pupil were associate professor of the Chair of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Akbaeva Dina Nauryzbaevna and school chemistry teacher Ongarbaeva Zhanar Siyazbekovna.

The project work on the topic “Synthesis of biocatalyst on the basis of amphoteric cryogel for ethanol oxidation”, declared in the competition, was submitted for consideration of the competent jury in the III direction – “Clean natural environment – the basis for the implementation of the Strategy Kazakhstan – 2030” in the section – chemistry. Competitive activity is a significant result of the educational process and an important part of the holistic development of each pupil. The opportunity to participate in such creative competitions at the city and national levels is the strongest incentive for hard work, both pupils and tutors. The completed project work allowed the pupil to integrate theoretical knowledge received at school with practical experience. The professional competition event was focused on training, development of children and identification of the best according to certain criteria.
