The symposium "Nanotechnologies in biology and medicine" was held in KazNU

Al-Farabi KazNU hosted the international symposium "Nanotechnology in biology and medicine" dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Al-Farabi KazNU and the 80th anniversary of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Anatoly Ivashchenko.

The purpose of the symposium is to attract the attention of the scientific community to nanotechnology and active participation in the development of a promising field of science and production in our country.

The grand opening of the symposium began with the opening speech of the Board member - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities Zhamilya Aitzhanova, who congratulated the 80th anniversary of Doctor of Biological Sciences, Professor Anatoly Ivashchenko. The vice-rector, noting the merits of the scientist, emphasized the importance of nanotechnology, which has great potential for solving the most important scientific and technical problems. With the help of nanotechnology today it is possible to give any material fundamentally new qualities and ensure progress in almost all existing areas of human activity.

During the symposium, the following speakers congratulated the jubilee: Rector's Advisor, Doctor of Law Erkin Duisenov, Director of the Institute of Combustion Problems, Academician Zulkhair Mansurov, Director of the Institute of Plant Biology and Biotechnology, Academician Kabyl Zhambakin, Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry named after M.A.Aitkhozhin, Professor Kamalidin Sharipov. Prof. Kamalidin Sharipov, Director of the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry named after M.A. Aitkhozhin.

The report on "Synthesis and application of nanomaterials in biology and medicine" was made by the Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Technology of KazNU, candidate of physical and mathematical sciences, associate professor Nurzada Beisen. Head of the Laboratory of Molecular Virology of the Scientific and Production Center of Microbiology and Virology, candidate of biological sciences Pavel Aleksyuk presented a report on "Physics and nanotechnology".        The symposium was attended by renowned scientists, academicians, teachers and students.
