Protection of the rights of disabled persons under Chinese law

On February 6, 2024, at 12:00 in auditorium 310, the Department of Civil Law and Civil Procedure, Labor Law held a scientific seminar on the topic "Protecting the rights of disabled people under Chinese legislation" within the framework of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The speaker of this event was the senior teacher Karasheva Zh.T., Karasheva Zh.T. He analyzed the law on the protection of the rights of the disabled according to the Chinese legislation, identified the main problems in social insurance and social protection, gave a general understanding of the protection of the legal rights and interests of the disabled, and shared practical recommendations. The main issues raised at the workshop included several aspects:
1 The state provides social insurance subsidies to the disabled and provides life, education, housing and other social assistance through various channels. Those with valid certificates can travel for free on city buses, subways and other public transport.
2 As regards their cultural life, the Government and society should organize and support the writing and publishing of Braille books for the disabled. Television launches programs in sign language, opens special radio stations for disabled people, promotes inclusion in television programs. Planned opening of venues for events for the disabled.
3 Employment. Legal liability. A barrier-free environment. Social security. Cultural life. Education.
The main issues included in the seminar program, taking into account appropriate solutions for disabled people, the speaker and teaching staff of the Department created the concept that people with disabilities should be provided with allowances, employment, social medicine, social protection and provide them with goods. and shared practical tips and suggestions.
The seminar was an excellent opportunity for the participants to exchange experiences, express their opinions and discuss the rights of disabled people. The event also contributed to strengthening the interaction between students and teachers, creating a conducive learning and research environment.
