Due to the fact that Almaty is in a seismic zone, the curators-advisors of the Department of Language and General Education Training of Foreigners held unscheduled meetings and conversations with their wards in each study group. The mentors reminded the foreign students of the need to comply with the rules of conduct in emergency situations. During the curatorial hours, the teachers also focused on the problems of global climate change and the problems of preserving terrestrial and ocean ecosystems. Since these changes have a global impact on all processes taking place on planet Earth. The students shared their vision of these problems. Thus, the topics of combating climate change, preserving marine and terrestrial ecosystems were discussed.
