Energy is central to almost every major challenge and opportunity the world faces today. Whether it's jobs, security, climate change, food production, or increased income, access to energy sources for all is a determining factor. And an interesting fact is that one in five people worldwide does not have access to electricity.

In light of the global challenges of climate change and the pursuit of sustainable development, many countries, including Kazakhstan, are actively working to develop low-cost and clean energy sources. This report provides an overview of the current status and prospects for the development of such sources in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is working on the development and implementation of low-cost and clean energy sources. An important part of these efforts is to increase the share of renewable energy sources in the country's energy structure.

Kazakhstan has a huge potential for the use of renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy. In recent years, the country has been actively developing wind and solar power plant projects.

Solar power plants in Kazakhstan are affecting the reduction of electricity costs, and this trend may continue in the future. Wind energy also has potential for development, especially in some regions of the country with favorable conditions for wind energy.

Moreover, Kazakhstan is also actively considering the use of nuclear energy. The construction of the Baikonur nuclear power plant is one of such projects.

In addition to the development of renewable energy sources, an important component is the improvement of energy efficiency and the introduction of innovative technologies. Energy efficiency programs in industry and the public sector can significantly reduce energy consumption.

Despite the positive trends, there are challenges such as project financing and infrastructure aspects. However, taking into account technological progress and global interest in clean energy, Kazakhstan can expect sustainable development in this area.

The development of low-cost and clean energy in Kazakhstan is an important element of the country's strategy to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and ensure the sustainability of the energy sector. Continued investments in renewable energy sources and increased energy efficiency will contribute to a sustainable and environmentally friendly energy future for Kazakhstan.
