KazNU realizes joint projects with Chinese scientists

The delegation of Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the People's Republic of China arrived to Al-Farabi KazNU to discuss issues related to the opening of the laboratory.

Member of the Board - Vice-Rector for Scientific and Innovative Activities of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University Zhamilya Aitzhanova, welcoming the delegation, expressed her gratitude for the support in organizing the scientific and innovation exhibition, which was held in late January in Urumqi (PRC).

During the meeting with the delegation of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Academy of Sciences of the People's Republic of China were discussed issues related to the reconstruction of the building, the opening of the Kazakhstan-China joint laboratory on remote sensing technologies and its application in KazNU, equipping the laboratory with equipment, and other topics.

The parties also discussed the issues of the international project "Joint development and demonstration of the application of a typical technology for remote monitoring of natural resources" in the framework of the "Belt and Road Initiative".

It should be noted that at the invitation of the Vice-Minister of Education of the PRC Mr. Sun Yao, on January 25-27, 2024, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University for the first time held a science and innovation exhibition in Urumqi (PRC). The event brought together 196 rectors and heads of research centers of local universities, representatives of more than 600 Chinese universities, heads of 40 major manufacturing enterprises and diplomatic corps of the two countries, scientists and entrepreneurs.
