Recently, a leadership lecture on "The system of higher professional education in the Republic of Kazakhstan" was held for undergraduates of the faculties of Law, Economics and Physics and Technology. KazNU - the flagship of higher education in Kazakhstan". The lecture was conducted by Professor of the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of KazNU named after Al-Farabi Magauova A.S. within the framework of the discipline "Pedagogy of Higher Education".
Magauova Akmaral Sabitollayevna, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the International Academy of Pedagogical Education Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Kazakhstan, Academician of the Kazakhstan National Academy of Natural Sciences, Honorary Worker of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan, winner of the national award of public recognition of achievements of women of Kazakhstan "Azhar", holder of the grant of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan "The best teacher of higher education in 2023", scientific director of the grant project "Formation of professional self-determination".
The content of the lecture was aimed at revealing the main stages of development of higher education in Kazakhstan and the features of modernization of the higher education system in accordance with the principles of the Bologna Process. The analysis of the level of reflection and realization of the fourth goal of sustainable development of the UN - ensuring quality education (SDG-4), in the state educational policy of the country and the legislative base of development of higher professional education was also presented.
The course "Pedagogy of Higher Education" is a part of training of scientific and scientific-pedagogical personnel of higher qualification of any profile for science and education. In Al-Farabi KazNU lectures and practical classes on this discipline are carried out by the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management. Within the discipline master students study the leading trends in the development of modern education, master the system of pedagogical tasks of teaching and education of students, master progressive educational technologies, master competencies in the field of management of the integral pedagogical process of the university.
Special interest and lively interaction caused discussion of the question "KazNU - the flagship of higher school of Kazakhstan". Application of the reception blitz-tournament "Do you know that..." induced undergraduates to active cognitive activity, during which they not only listed the features and achievements of the university, but tried to analyze the path of its development, characterized KazNU as "the hearth of knowledge", "as the abode of science and enlightenment", "as a leader of higher education in Kazakhstan and abroad". The discussion was summarized by watching the video "Al-Farabi KazNU. Territory of opportunities".
During the class the professor showed the ability to interact with the audience, to establish a mutual exchange of information, to motivate listeners to perceive and analyze the material. Demonstrating lecturing and communicative skills, she was able to arouse the interest of novice scientists-researchers to the study of scientific and pedagogical problems of quality education.
In my opinion, master students came out of the lecture not only with a baggage of certain knowledge, but also with reflections on the meaning and importance of quality professional education, on the competitive advantages of students of KazNU, and, of course, with a sense of pride for their alma mater!
