As part of the implementation of SDG 4 "Quality Education", proclaimed by the United Nations to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all, the Department of Theory and History of State and Law, Constitutional and Administrative Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University on February 26, 2024 held the opening of the Farabi Winter Scientific School on the topic "Human rights in the modern world".

The purpose of the Farabi Winter Scientific School is to teach students the basics of law, to gain skills in using legal knowledge in practice.
During the training at the Farabi Winter Scientific School, it is planned to consider a wide range of issues of the theory of law and the state, international law, personal data protection, migration law, the introduction of digital law into society, the basics of artificial intelligence, and some civil law issues.
Classes at the Farabi Winter Scientific School are conducted by leading scientists of Kazakhstan, representatives of state bodies of the Republic of Kazakhstan and civil society, teachers of al-Farabi Kazakh National University and other universities.
On the first day of the Farabi Winter Scientific school, the lesson was conducted by Doctor of Law, Professor Ibrayeva A.S. on the topic "Modern challenges and human rights". Changes in the legal system regarding the protection and enforcement of human rights were considered.
Doctor of Law, Professor Ibrayeva Alua Salamatovna stressed that every person living in Kazakhstan should know, respect and comply with the norms of law, respect human rights, and fulfill their constitutional duties in full.
The Farabi Winter Scientific School is organized for students of law specialties from foreign universities. 55 students from foreign universities took part in the first day. After the end of the winter scientific school, all participants will receive a certificate in the amount of 72 hours.
