On 02/19/2024, cognitive "lessons of courage" were held at the treasury for the patriotic education of college students: "35 years of the Afghan War", "performing a heroic feat" in order to implement SDG No.16 of the institutes of peace, justice and strong institutions and in honor of the 90th anniversary of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The "Lesson of Courage" was attended by teachers of the military department of the al-Farabi Kazakh National University, veterans of the Afghan war, reserve Colonel Khazen Koishygaraevich Kozhakhmetov and reserve Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Nikolaevich Shashatsky.
Purpose: to educate students in courage, nationality, patriotism of their country, respect for veterans. Veterans of the Afghan war talked about their experiences, students asked questions and were active. The students showed their talents by taking an instructive role model from them.
