KazNU student underwent a scientific internship in Hungary
Aidar Tutadze, a 3rd year student of the Department of Biodiversity and Bioresources, Faculty of Biology and Biotechnology, Al-Farabi KazNU, underwent a scientific internship under the programme of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Hungary.
Hungarian University of Agriculture and Life Sciences is one of the leading technological universities in Hungary, located in the beautiful city of Budapest.
The research internship followed a curriculum that included subjects such as: plant genetics, plant biotechnology, organic farming, plant pathology and food safety.
The University also provided training in various techniques, including polymerase chain reaction (PCR), DNA electrophoresis in agarose gel, Blast - alignment, gradient PCR and analysis of capillary electrophoresis results (electrophoregrams) for the detection of microsatellites. This allowed not only to expand the theoretical base, but also to gain valuable practical experience, which will be invaluable in future professional activities.
